Hmmm....
That puts a turn of events on the story and what's going on with Mrs. Walters now.

Makes you wonder who did give her that report? "Yeah, this is how your kid got eaten alive. I highlighted the good parts."

My proverbial money says she either bribed someone for the file or stole it. When you've got nothing else to lose, longing for a little closure can make you do stupid things.

"Please don't report her."
I expect Charlie to somehow do this because "Follow the rules, charlie." and he gets pepper for it.
This entire shopping trip is for charlie to get more sympathy, not clothes.
And I'm ok with this!

Now I'm wondering what happens if someone who has a breakdown is reported. Because someone would understandably get away with an incident like that - not that it's right, but most people would react bad like it or not - maybe with a restraining order or a condition to see a shrink, being reported wouldn't be a big deal. But maybe the ARC considers people who eventually snap to be too dangerous to the community... maybe something happens to them... maybe Charlie will report it but get some sentences mixed and the Red Halo thinks Milo is the one who broke down and this is what finally happens to him...

I bet there was no report.
Mrs. Walters is clearly very upset and in her fits of Oh Snap she just blabbered on about stuff.

In the deleted scenes (see below comix). 'Anne' mentions that J mom got the reports from so-in-so. I wouldn't think it was Jasper...a dick he is but his beef seems to be with Jenny, at present >V> One of Jasper's minions? Maybe the reason they report these little emotional outbursts is primarily for infected, it could be a side effect of the virus' effects. No, you're not turning 'cause you're a little cranky. But I'm sure there are those 'precautions' with any such carries of appocalypto disease. Or for an unaffected civlian, rash behavior may indicate infection and tests are to be done. yay testing

Or they're afraid they'll commit suicide. Hide in their enemy's barrack and commit suicide, turn and eat the first person who comes in, which is totally not the person they hoped to kill, and bite a couple more, and some freak out and WOULD eventually admit that they've been bitten but not immediately because they're busy crying in a corner, and they turn too, and eventually the Red Halo comes and in the confusion kill a bunch of healthy (if infected) civilians along with the zombies and bitten victims (Milo is one of them of course) and you've got a few more traumatised time bombs waiting to break down in their turn.
Also, how is Milo pronounced? Me-low or mile-oh?

*high fives* Perhaps Injured Nose Earflap Hat Kid got hold of the reports, or someone similar who likes bossing little Katie around.

I just wanted to say that you've bumped up a few notches on my 'omg you're an amazing author/artist/creative person" meter. I always have to say something when I see people properly using "all right" (as Anne says it) rather than the incorrect "alright." I know that languages evolve and commonly-accepted errors can become "proper" variations in their own right but it never ceases to astound me how many people do it with this particular phrase.
