Guessing the CD/DVD is scratched up, the format is not as ye old VHS but I had disc that wouldn't play at all thanks to some scuffs.

No no no! I'm talking about the last panel! The title and details are clearly legible over the statics, so it isn't a crappy record, the transition effect (and assumedly sound effect as well) has been put there on purpose! Somebody thought statics were a good idea!

That depends a lot on what sort of punk you are talking about. I was a die hard metalhead until the thrashcore crossover scene. D.R.I. were like unto gods as far as I was concerned and I picked up most of my punk from that point on, working my backwards to Black Flag and the Ramones, the quintessential roots of the East and West coast scenes. |
