Hmm. I wonder what Sammie was like in her pre-civilized days. Was she a cleptomaniac or did she just want to watch the world burn? Also, I have this burning desire to know what Charlie would look like with a ponytail...

Did they use statics as a background for the title??? Did they add the TSSHHHHH sound too? I bet it is twice as loud as the speaky parts! Is EVERY transition made of TSSHHHHH??? Also [censored part] BEEEEEP! I bet this tape is an acoustic nightmare! Milo doesn't advertise it, but he loves music and has perfect aesthetic sense when it comes to sounds. What he can hear through the wall drives him to suicide.

Charlie plays Alestorm on loop and Milo can't take it any more. Sammy of course understands the deep and meaningful subtlety of Pirate Metal and so thrives and become as epic as we know her with Brick Flail. 'Nuff sed.
*ADDENDUM* Katie is immune to the subtle joy of Pirate Metal but Charlie teaches her through the art of moshing.
*ADDENDUM* Jenny hates Charlie as she was hoping to help her with an old "Hospital Of Death" album, thus teaching her to be epic through 1980s Style British Thrash Metal. This was of course doomed to failure due to Moe having lent Katie Operation Ivy and Minor Threat. On Tape.

No no no! I'm talking about the last panel! The title and details are clearly legible over the statics, so it isn't a crappy record, the transition effect (and assumedly sound effect as well) has been put there on purpose! Somebody thought statics were a good idea! Jenny truly invented the ultimate dystopian society.

Thrash metal and punk are very similar musical styles.

Thrash metal and punk are very similar musical styles.
That depends a lot on what sort of punk you are talking about. I was a die hard metalhead until the thrashcore crossover scene. D.R.I. were like unto gods as far as I was concerned and I picked up most of my punk from that point on, working my backwards to Black Flag and the Ramones, the quintessential roots of the East and West coast scenes.
