A few moths have went by since Jenny first saw him, and some more passed since the conference. I really really dislike displaying 'x amount of time' has passed when you can rather show not tell, it IS tricky however, as you can see, because people are confused. I displayed time passing with the change of the season in this chapter, and from that chapter, them mentioning another month passing on top of that, and for those keen eyes, Jenny's hair growing longer  Ah, then it would make more sense that Charlie acts normal. |
