HE REALLY IS A TIMELORD.
EDIT: Just to be clear, I'm not insulting Jenny's work. The fact that this is the first mistake I've spotted in the entire comic (And that there are plausible explanations for it) is mind-boggling. I've seen highly paid, professional-for-years types make more than that in one issue. My hat is still, and shall forever be, off to her.

Or he just dropped it. The impact caused a state of resonnance in the metal, and the harmonics are working in such a way that the gun will fire in exactly 3.5 seconds, just as Milo comes in. The bullet hits him in the leg, not a serious injury but it bleeds a lot, and to save his life Kathie gives him a transfusion of Sam's blood (she knows their blood types because she's an anime nerd) and the blood contains so much nicotine that Milo is immediately addicted and he dies of cancer before making it back to the island.

Noticed it myself but didn't want to point it out. Charlie punching the zombie with the gun would have been funny as hell but I like the idea that he dropped the gun off panel, punched the zombie, then picked it up again. That would also fit with Sam's expression; 'your a total clouts but you did punch a zombie in the face, that will do.' |

The comic doesn't follow every second of everything, he dropped it and picked it up afterwards, cause let's be honest, who wants two panels of dropping/picking up a gun when it would just delay the epic zombie face punch?

The little girl is scared by charlie, she tries to run away and falls out the window and dies. On an unrelated note, Milo moves away. Jenny, having nobody to sit with at lunch time any more, is sad.
