But the character pages says he's 27. So if we take 18 as a minimum, the maximum time from the outbreak is 9 years.
Theres also the idea that some people may have been rescued and moved away before ever seeing a zombie, while others were trapped behind and had to live in infected areas before being found and rescued. |

I'm not sure how I imagine Charlie's voice. I'm not sure how I imagine Sammie's either, although sometimes I imagine it as one of those really deep, masculine-sounding female voices. It seems fitting sometimes |

Don't feel bad Charlie, Sam doesn't respect the living either.
And voices:
I imagine Charlie to have a deep voice, but that easily raises to girly heights when he gets upset. The kind of voice that sounds smooth as long as it's quiet, but can't scream without turning ridiculous.
And Sam sounding older than she is. You hear her behind your back and think it's a hardened middle-aged multiple-divorcee who probably raised five kids in a single continuous shouting match and still hasn't noticed that non-threatening tones still exist. Then you turn around and wonder who talked because she doesn't look like she sounds.
(Also Jenny sounding like a 10 years old boy who stopped caring that the teacher hears him talk in class.)
