All of her friends know that it is doom to make the lady Katie go kaboom. I wish there had been no body count, but I'm stuck between sadness at it and elation Katie is okay.
I just remembered something from re-reading this post... I can't remember if it was the Animaniacs or Tiny Toon Adventures that had this short cartoon play once in a while called "Katie Kaboom", where a teenaged girl, if something doesn't go right, she goes nuclear and destroys the house or something like that. TZH's Katie goes Kaboom... all over Rat Man.

Synaster, you just became my most favoritest person. So, I wonder what Katie mean when she said that half the markings are a lie. Does that mean the other half meant something?

I second Amad's comment...and I believe it was Animaniacs
Katie certainly is higher on the list now of people most likely to kill Milo.

They're probably something like the signs the poor and homeless would use to signal good and bad spots to each other, like so. I imagine they'd need a new sign for 'zombies in closet, no biscuits'

I sense as though a great misdeed was done unto poor Katie to make her e'splode so violently when touched, by anyone unfamiliar or strange. And sense she is a navigator, it would be imperative for her to recognize a vast collection of sign or symbols, methinks

I don't really see the whole "Exploding" thing. She just defended herself, it's not like she chopped the hands off a bank teller or something.

I like imagining that it was a misunderstanding of a comedic type which would have led to wacky hijinks and awesome bonding but Katie went ballistic anyway.

I believe you are right, as they had more humans in that one. Hmm... Now that Rat Man's dead, will the scent of his blood attract zombies? He's rather scrawny-looking, so he probably wouldn't be a very big feast. Also, if Katie hadn't shot him in the head, and zombies came along and feasted on his entrails, would it possible for him to arise? Or would the virus need their host to be alive first? I can't remember if that was covered or not.

I remember that, but I guess I was too unclear. How's this: would it possible for a newly dead uninfected person (without a massive head-injury) to turn after a zombie starts eating them?
