Eyyy! edit: Also looking back at the comic, the stance the spitter is in on the first panel looks like a running stance. As for white hair, doesn't necessarily have to mean old. Could be that during their lifetime they were incredibly stressed or frightened, like soldiers who come back from war with white hair. |

nah, that's definitely a "I may be about to die, but FUCK ALL'A YOUS!" Also, judging by Megan's writing, they were attempting a salvage mission of some sort. Either that or a clearing mission. Dismounting to fight the zombies probably seemed like it made sense before everything went pear-shaped  And really, even with the losses, the mission may have been a success. The implication has generally been that losing team members isn't uncommon at all- remember the canned speech that the dude gave to Milo and crew? |

I think I'd rather blow myself up than be eaten by a pack of zombies too. Hell, even in war, people would often have some sort of measure to kill themselves at any time. Just to avoid capture. But not because "capture would hurt the cause" but rather "I'd rather die quickly than to be tortured by ****". This was quite true for German troops fearing falling into the hands of the NKVD. Instant death is better. Sometimes that measure would also be something that would take the bastards with them. Like a grenade stuck to your chest that can easily be activated with one hand. *pin* *Fzzzt* * BOM* |
