Fox ruined this guy's career. This guy had the rights from the Asimov estate to make a film based on I, Robot for his senior thesis. After he took out $10,000 in loans and made the film he received a letter from Fox saying that since they were making a feature film based on the same story he had to cease and desist or they would take him to court and even though he would win the case it would cost him thousands of dollars in legal fees while it would cost them basically nothing.
