To run away screaming, or to go for the hanging bag?
Can Charlie do this?

If he can, he's going to deal with the lurkers, mano-e-zombo, either physically or...conversationally?  Things could get weird here, kids.

If not, it's time to get the frack out of Dodge, and come back with more ammo.

Only frames will tell...

To be honest, Charlie doesn't really HAVE to do anything does he? If I am not mistaken, the bag contains the Scooby Snacks that keep Charlie from gnawing on the rest of the team. If that is the case, he's carrying an entire Jenny full of dietary needs, right?

laugh laugh laugh  Now now, no gnawing on the Jenny. Then again there is that eye laying back there unused. Shouldn't let that go to waste

Honestly, for all I  know, Charlie will turn, focus, and unleash a psionic blast.

Since I am pretty sure Charlie's last name is not Xavier, I would not hold my breath on the spontaneous expression of mutant powers at this stage of the game. Anything is possible in this great zombified nation of ours, though I would not choose to buck those odds.

That said, I am pretty sure that being Half-Dead qualifies Charlie as a Necromonger, so I would not be at all suprised if he pulled out some bullet-time, slide through combat kinda shit like the Lord Marshall used. That worked on everyone not named Riddick.

The odds that there is not a Furyan hiding in the shadows over there are far more to my liking.

All hail Lord Marshall Charlie.

That would be a really disturbing cross-over.  Fascinating...but really disturbing.
Still, I would hope that no one promoted him...to full dead.
Yes, I am a smug bastard...

Here's a even less pleasant thought....

What if there is an as of yet unencountered zombie over there in the shadows? Maybe one that developed a sort of mental domination ability that only affect the undead. For our purposes we could call it a Puppet Master zombie.

By remaining close to it, other zombies gain a sort of hive mind effect that makes them all like mini-zerkers working in a pack controlled by the Puppet Master.

The zombies would still be relatively weak individually, but with a sadistic and twisted intelligence that allows them to subdue prey to bring back to their master.

By eating the brains of a living human (YES! It eats your brain while you can still provide dinner conversation), it's ability to dominate more zombies increases. The Puppet Master would be like a mini-boss that gets stronger as it takes out Zombie Hunters.

There could be a rather nasty surprise waiting for Ol' Charlie under the stairs there.

Well.

If anyone is going to sense an uber-mind zombie, it's Chuck here.

Just you wait.  A "Lucy" will walk out of those shadows and greet him by name.

Holding a football.
