42.

Yes.  That number.
"The answer to life, the universe, and everything".

Computer Nerds out there?  (Yeah, me too.)
Remember ASCII encoding?  Where A = 65, etc.?

Well, 42 translates to "*", the asterisk.

You use this one when you're pattern matching, remember?
The wildcard character?

So, the answer is...whatever you want it to be.
Wildcard.

Am I the only one who sometimes wonders if this reality of ours isn't just some huge virtual reality program desperately in need of a major software patch?

I mean, the same shit just keeps happening over and over again and the results just get harder to resolve. We keep having the same issues, the same money and relationship problems, the same inability to learn from the mistakes of previous generations.

It's kinda like life is a new Elder Scrolls or Fallout game and they haven't gotten around to the first big software patch.

(On a personal note: F@$k Fallout 76, seriously, f@$k that game. I still have a copy of Fallout 3 and I'll use it if I have to!)

Hmm.

So, do ya think there'd be well-armed human holdout group on Martha's Vineyard?
You know, right next to that deep sea investigation Institution at Wood's Hole?

I think there might be.
