You hip, urban youth and your fancy thingamabobs with the doo-hickeys and flim-flam box of magic.
Spoiler is huge spoiler, the season is creeping up and this time, going to pick out some random crap and try to keep up with them. One or two exceptions though, ones I try with an intent to watch but eventually stall on.:
Litchi de Hikari Club, if it lives up to the manga (So hard to get into but so disturbing) and doesn't cut back on the material, this will be one of the best in the season.
BTOOOM! because, you know, it's about explosions and shit. Literally about blowing up your opponents. That is one of the best premises ever.
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure The Animation, always wanted to check it out and looks as badass as hell.
Seikon no Ichizon S2, loved the first season
Aoi Sekai no Chuushin de, the description alone makes it worth a watch.
The Tiger & Bunny movie, the series was just fantastic.
And this one's for you JRM,
Amagami SS+ Onsen Special!
I watched the entire series and I found myself enjoying it more than I thought. I'm trying to find a place to look through to get the light novels, though. I tried my awesome used bookstore (powells, a city block of books. le awesome) but they only have number 3. I guess I'll look online for it.
A city block of books and only one? And #3? What kind of crap is more important than light novels?
But gawd, the only used bookstores of note we have around here is BMV, an apartment floor of stuff.
But so much Star Wars books back in the day

Remember back in the day when you had to go to Best Buy or even worse Suncoast Video for your Anime and you were paying 20 bucks a pop for discs that only had 3 or 4 episodes on them? I do and they sucked. But this complete reversal where NO ONE fucking stocks Anime that isn't Dragonball or Miyazaki sucks just as bad. I like being able to look at new stuff that's coming out, I'm a casual grazing impulse shopper. The internet is not the same. Just a couple years ago I could pick up Black Lagoon on a whim and be like "Fuck, this shit be tight yo, I need to watch the rest!" Now the only place I see Anime is in used disc shops and the FIRST DISC IS ALREADY GONE! ALWAYS! I get that people buy the first disc because they want to see if they like it or not before buying the rest of the series, but shit, think about what you're doing. YOU'RE HOLDING THE WHOLE SERIES HOSTAGE UNTIL YOU MAN UP AND BUY THE REST. Or god forbid, sell the disc back because it was shite but fuck no, that first disc NEVER comes back.
Maybe this should have went into the PP thread?
Meh...
EDIT: I just went to google "used anime" and before I was even done typing one of the first autocompletes that appears is "used animal crematories" Really? There's a market for this? What the F#|<?
I can't afford getting my anime on DVD (Except for Animatrix on VHS), but like before, there are some series I would love to have on DVD, or some volumes at least. Not at eye-gouging prices though.
Those douchebags that only take the first disc, there's a place for them in hell, where all there is to watch is shit.
Funny Pets level of shit.
It's not so much the animal crematories, even though that is really, completely creepy, but that they're used. As in "Welp, done all ma animal burnin', don't need this shit no more so gonna sell it on E-Bay."
Fuck. Now I'm stuck thinking about it.
