I'm just back from the hospital. They didn't give me any antibiotics, but they sliced through it, drained all the pus they could drive out and packed it. It hurts now and the anesthesics didn't wear off yet, the night will be fuuuuuuuuuuuuuun... Bandages have to be changed every two days, and in a week the doctor will inspect it again. I guess he'll decide then if it'll need antibiotics.
And I felt like a big wuss because there are several times I stiffened or gasped from the pain even though it wasn't THAT bad.

You know the school exam I rushed to get to the ER early enough? The one I did anxious about leaving in time, distracted by pain and unable to sit? I got 88,5% on it! Wooooo! To give due credits, I do think the teacher went easy on grading the lab manips part because she knew about it. But it's STILL good enough for a victory dance! Especially since now my butt doesn't complain everytime I move.  *victory dance; disco style* (On a vaguely related note: the doctor who saw me naked from the waist down still asked me if it was "sir" or "madam" afterward. Since my name is neutral, he had noooooo way to know  ) |

After fixing my butt, the doctor had to write what he did to put in my file as it usually goes, and apparently he needed to know some basic info - maybe just to know how to spell my name on the form (Dominique = girl; Dominic = boy) - and he had to ask despite seeing me half naked a minute before.
Maybe he was just trolling though. That could happen.
I've seen some quite quirky doctors over time. One was rather annoying because he spoke of himself in the third person, and talked to his patients in the third person. It was difficult to sort out.

For me springbreak is BEGINNING!!!  But actually I'll be working during that week. A change of pace will probably still be good though. And since I'm used to work on HQ mostly during lunchbreaks at work, it means daily comics for the next week. |
