Random rant that doesn't really belong in PPs or anywhere else so I'll stick it here.
I heard a Flyleaf song today and realized why I cringe whenever I hear a Flyleaf song. It's not that their singer is "bad" it's that she sings in the same whiny tone ALL THE TIME but what REALLY drives me nuts is the shitty job they do micing her. I mean having it so EVERY intake of breath makes it onto tape is a mistake right? No one does that shit on purpose right? When I did radio stuff in school and later amaetuer recording for my band we were smart enough to put nerf balls with a hole cut into them over the microphone because air rasp sounds totally unprofessional. Fire your mixer and or your sound guy. And if you sound that way on purpose then I don't know. I just don't know. Shame on you?
I seriously need to start a "rants with Outlaw" thread or something...

I actually don't have much Misfits in digital format, most of what I had was on tape and is probably no longer in listenable condition. I have Earth A.D. laying around somewhere on CD but I think all I ever ripped from it was "Mommy can I go out and kill tonight" "Die Die my Darling" and a couple others. MCIGOAKT has always been one of my favorites.

Damn, I've just been mean to a telemarketer! I usually try not to make someone's shitty job even more shitty; they're just trying to put bread on the table you know?
I have been idly considering getting cable TV and that's exactly what he was trying to sell. So I asked questions on the available packages and what I'd pick was exactly what they were advertising. But "idly considering", for me, means "about two years from buying it" which means at the end I was "Ok thank you good evening bye!" and he lost five minutes hoping for a sale and ending up with nothing.
