Ale's my beer of choice, but some lagers are pretty decent. Tomas Watkins Magic Lagwyr for example, is rather nice. Budweiser* isn't bad. Most lager just sucks in my opinion, though. Stuff like Coors and Bud* are lagers in name only, and are closer to fizzy gnat piss than beer.
*Budweiser = the proper Czech stuff. Bud = the American imitation piss.

True, true. Either way tis truly vile.
Fun fact, I once almost started a riot at a wedding reception because of my violent dissing of Budweiser, someone gave me "a beer" and didn't tell me what kind, I was convinced he had pissed in it first and things escalated rapidily. Then I found out later that's what Bud actually tastes like and I felt almost bad about it.

Sadly, the rednecks here seem to prefer quantity over quality. An acquaintance of mine would regularly go buy a "thirty-box" of whatever was cheap.
I had this truly amazing craving for tapwater.

I don't think I've evertried Budweiser or American Bud. The most popular beer here in Texas is without a doubt Corona; it's alright, and rather crisp but still not very good tasting.
My favorite beer from what I've tried so far is Michelob Ultra; it's kind of stout, but not as stout as Guiness and still just a bit crisp. It's just the right blend for my preference.
