I'm like 10 pages into The Hunger Games and I can't focus. For some reason when the main character is a teenager, I just don't care anymore. Unless it's Harry Potter.
I finished the Hunger Games and thought it was good, but I'm really iffy about reading the next two because the main character just seems so... apathetic? And yeah, I understand about teenaged protagonists.

I just started reading Robert Low's The Lion Wakes a couple of days ago. I'm only 34 pages in, but so far it's been really fucking boring. Nowhere near as good as his Whale Road trilogy.

I've been reading Jumper: Griffins' Story by Stephen Gould.
I loved the original Jumper back when I first read it, for me the movie was "meh" because the replaced the whole socio political ramifications of the first teleporter being discovered with "omg secret society and Samuel L Mother Fucking Jackson." I had hoped that since Griffins Story was being written by the orginal author that I would be more into it but not really. On the plus side I did pick it up for a buck 25 at the dollar store so I'm not too upset about it.

Well, I'm also reading it because of peer pressure and nothing else. That also probably kills something in the story.

Right off the bat, you can probably tell that it's funny by the title. Is it the one by Will Ferguson?
I have a whole bunch of new books just waiting to be read. I'm thinking I should read the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy next. I wanna be able to compare it to the movie.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is hilarious. I recommend it; has a nice dash of humour combined with some pseudo-science. Mostly for the humour.
