You filthy bastard, it hasn't been released in English yet. I loved the first book to death, and really want the next one to come out soon.
Damn this book. Almost made me cry :,(

just finished reading the hunger games trilogy last night... I'd originally dismissed the books as fluff when I found out that Hollywood was doing an adaptation, but... dang. Take a story that starts with merciless bloodsport... and then go *darker* with it. The author handled PTSD and stress effects with her characters really well (or at least, so it seemed to me, who has never experienced PTSD personally). I was surprised to find that I'd rank her handling of it up there with David Drake.
I doubt Hollywood can do the characters justice... but I'm eager to find out. If they can, that'd make the actress a new favorite, easily.

I still haven't watched the entire first movie. And I'm not going to take the hipster stance and accuse one of ripping off the other but have you read Battle Royale? You really should. Then you should watch the movie. They are both really good. Don't read the manga without having brain bleach handy though and don't feel bad if you skip it entirely. You've been warned.

And you can totally skip Battle Royale II: Blitzshits, it's terrible when compared to the original.

Interestingly enough, I've read the manga sequel but have yet to see the movie sequel despite having owned it for over a year. I've heard it fails so hard as to tarnish the original and I'm afraid for that to happen.

Got a bunch of Chuck Palahniuk novels on kindle, so I'm starting with Rant. It's fucking weird. I kinda like it. Already read Lullaby a few years ago, but the rest will be new to me, so...whoo.
Funny how I went from thinking ebooks were the devil to starting a small library of them.

Rookies, reading a volume a day and it's pretty good. Delinquents + Baseball, totally worth checking out.
