This is what I love about this forum, one person can say they find Lovecraft boring (or some of his stuff, I will be fair) and everyone doesn't jump his shit. brilliant.

Back on topic, outside of school work I don't read much anymore. It is increasingly difficult to find books that hold my attention.

I should check out more of his stuff, but I'm content with that series and Azincourt.
And I still can't thank you enough.

No problem mate, always good to introduce people to new authors.

By the way, a correction for my last post: It's not in the Warlord series, that's Arthurian. My mistake, I got the series names mixed up. 'Tis the Saxon stories.

It's been impossible for me to find a good collection of his available in near book stores. And I hate ordering over the internet.
All I've found are his book that fall between two others or that are in fact his more abstract or boring ones.

I'm trying to find a good zombie book. But I've read all the Max Brooks' stuff, most of the modern outbreak/bio terrorism type books. I'm really looking for a good horrific novel to read but all I find are short story collections. Some with stories like this piece of gold " Vampire Detective: Case of the Mysterious Zombie". I raged, in a book store over that.
Also, it was next to the Lovecraft books that thjey did have.

If you haven't read it yet check out "Dead in the West."   I can't remember the author off the top of my head but it's one of the goriest zombie horror books written and is probably the closest thing to a zombie action flick you'll find in written form.  And it's set in the old west which gives it extra kick ass points automatically.

EDIT:  Author was Joe R. Lansdale.  Google is awesome.

Currently, Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

Though I would highly recommend books by Terry Pratchett if you like unforced humor.

Ugh, I hated Huck Finn. Too many grammatical errors and reading in his accent throughout the ENTIRE book was torture.
