One might consider this an homage to MSPaint Adventures and Zork at the same time. You probably know the deal; Whoever posts an action first has the character perform that action, if possible. If I manage to commit to this (which, although unlikely, isn't impossible), I may switch to actually illustrating. As of right now, however, I'd prefer to keep the workload low so I will be more inclined to come back to it.
You emerge into the scorching Abulonia sunlight. Sweat immediately pools beneath your bowler, causing your scalp to prune. Curses. You spot a small Abulonian boy standing on the corner by the apothecary, waving his tentacles at passerby and screeching about Chiclets. Curious, you approach him. Upon noticing you, he flares his gills in greeting and proclaims proudly: "Chiclets!" He holds in his claws a small cardboard box, which proves to be filled with tiny pieces of hard-shelled gum.
To your north is the apothecary.
To your west is slum street.
To your east is main street.
To your south is the haberdashery.

You question the boy about Chiclets. He stares at you, multiple antennae twitching in contemplation, and after some deliberation holds out his box, crying "Superbucks! Chiclets!". Can't fault the lad for his enthusiasm.

You toddle your way over to the west, immediately passing two hobos, a prostitute, and a prostitute that appears to cater specifically to hobos. In a startling turn, you suddenly find yourself in the slums. For a classy gent like you, this is a faux pas of epic proportions! Due to the horrible trauma inflicted by your surroundings, your Acumen is temporarily reduced by 2 points.
As expected, after mere moments, you are accosted by ruffians! Two thugs leap from the shadows, brandishing deadly cucumbers in a threatening manner.

You launch yourself into the air like a zeppelin and rocket towards the first Ruffian. Latching onto his extended cucumber, you whip your head about in a decidedly ungentlemanly way. Shortly, the vegetable is reduced to naught but chunks lodged within your gullet.
Your victim's skin is flayed by shards of flying cucumber, and he takes 1 point of damage.

The second Ruffian rears back and delivers a numbing blow with his green cylinder, dealing you 1 point of damage. Chortling in amusement, he mimes the deliverance of further harm as you regain your feet.

The cobbler himself is seated behind the counter, tapping out a substantial reservoir of gravel from a gnome-sized boot. He seems quite intent on his activities until you deliver a soft "ahem". As he looks up, you tip your hat in greeting, as every well bred man is wont to do; Unfortunately, a rain of sweat pours down your face and onto the wooden floor. Glaring at it for a moment, he directs his attention back to you. He asks how he may help.
