If this was a misunderstanding, then I'm sorry I spoke harshly.
I try to keep a relativistic point of view, knowing that a large proportion of those who have an opinion opposite to mine are as intelligent and informed, but have different priorities, and since objectivity is not part of human nature, it's not easy. Yes, I fail at it sometimes. But I try. So when someone comes and say something that sounds patronising, as if they couldn't view their adversaries as reasonable adults too... to say it politely, it doesn't sound specially mature to me.
That said, you didn't mean to sound that way, so it's ok.
it's all good. Not to make excuses for myself, but part of the reason I came off as I did might have something to do with the amount of alcohol I've had tonight. If I came off of as patronising, I appoligize. I didn't mean to. As I've said, Micheal Moore has some very good points. Many of those points I also agree with. I just have little patience for his methods. That's just my narrow view. But from that view, speaking as a lower-middle class american, I have a hard time appriciating someone that comes in and basicly tells people they are less then scum, simply because they work the wrong job, or believe the wrong things. And it seems to me that, above all else, is Moore's goal. To demean people for working the wrong job at the wrong time. If you respect me less for that, then I guess that's just how it will have to be.
