I admit that I'm curious to if you have always had that principal, or if something made you decide on it?
I admit that I've never been fond of alcohol, due to: The effects on the body, how horrible it tastes, the way people obsess over it and the mainstreamness, the typical social scene it surrounds, and the horrible problems it causes the person and those around them (murder, drunken accidents, general foolishness). Not that everyone
has a problem, since there are many who know how to control themselves and don't get drunk. But I'd prefer not to get mixed up with any
of it, since I see it all as pointless. Don't see why I should poison myself. Yes, a lot of things are "poison", but for something to affect you that quickly and that negatively puts it right next to any other illegal drug--just a matter of "Oh, let's ban this drug, but this one's interesting...". I could punch myself in the face and get dizzy, and it would be nearly the same effects as alcohol. I just wouldn't be vomiting on myself and urinating everywhere. I admit that I drank a little when I was younger, but soon realized the pointlessness of it.
All my opinion, though, and I don't try to force my beliefs on others...-__- I admit that I'd go to a party filled with intellectual drinkers, though I wouldn't consume any alcohol.
