yes, but the common ancestor was kinda like an ape too:D and the evolution theory does not say that all monkeys should evolve into humans... like, there was a tribe of monkeys/apes/common ancestors and part of them left the trees and part of them stayed.
for me, the strongest argument against evolution theory is the hammer head shark. from what i read, there was no ancestros of this species that had the head growing and growing, just BAM! wide headed sharks appeared. and, there is no discovered reason for their head being so wide. however im not sure of all of that:P i still believe in evolution, cause it just makes sense... and random mutations are bound to happen, cancer being the most popular example... sadly.

I think the strongest evidence for evolution is drug resistance bacteria, damn things are evolving right in front of us.

I admit that I've always wondered if humans would evolve into a more advanced species, but at the rate things are going now we might kill each other off before that happens. Then super roaches will outlive us and evolve into humanoid things and pretty much own at life.

I don't think our societies would allow for any helpful evolution...

i dont think that there is much evolution going on with humans now, cause there is not a lot of natural selection. africa being the sad exception... and i like the idea of two species evolving out of humans, one intelligent, the other one 'workforce' just look at how separated our society is, maybe this is the way human species will go:D

nah, they have no way to get abstract thought from. (like, advanced mathematics or something of this kind) they could only get superstrenght etc., and this is not enough to beat bombers.

Plus in the millions of years it'd take we'll either rule the galaxy or leave a impressive crater.

I'm sure you'd denounce something if you got as much heat from it as Darwin did.

I admit that I sometimes use my fingernail to scratch notes into the skin of my left forearm. Doesn't hurt, and I can never lose the note until it heals.

I admit that I now wonder how many runes Tokkie has inscribed into himself, and how many of those runes are invincibility spells.
