I've said it before and I'll say it again, when your army doesn't really have a downside other than "When you shoot at me and you roll all sixes and I roll all ones I get hurt a little bit", you're kind of unbalanced. For example, when it comes to Tau vs. Space Marines, the Tau can do one of two things, the first being "Wait until they're in shooting range, shoot, MAYBE wound one, then get charged and decimated the next turn", or "Run the fuck away, run the fuck away some more, one of your tanks kills one with a railgun, get charged and decimated and then they charge and decimate your tank too." I understand that Space marines in video games and movies and such are awesome because playing a game where you're completely balanced with the army you're playing against isn't fun because you're one guy and they're a bajillion, but on the tabletop, none of that matters. A strategy game should be about playing with Strategy, not stroking your erect penis while the other player sobs quietly because he spent 300 dollars on the wrong army. And another thing, fuck Games Workshop, because they break the fucking game KNOWINGLY (Yeah, We're going to update Space Marines to this vastly superior version. The Necron book comes out next year! And then we'll make another Space Marine update and then Tau!) so they can get people to go "Well, my army is completely pointless right now. Might as well start building another." Which is a thing I've seen happen so many times it makes me sad. When there are multiple factions, there should be no golden boy. There should be no fucking golden boy. That being said, I've played Chaos, Eldar, and Tau. I had trouble losing with Chaos unless I was playing Spesh Marines, then it was pretty balanced. Eldar were pretty magnificent when you played them right. Tau... Tau are a fucking joke. I bought the starter kit, got steamrolled, looked up guides, got steamrolled, borrowed units, got steamrolled (Albeit by three or four less spesh marines), borrowed units and subbed in units... You get the idea. I know people like Warhammer, I know people love the lore. I love the video games, I think they're awesome, I just roll my eyes when every single everything the spesh marines are involved in turns into 300.
I put the effort into going and getting The Darkness out of my brother's video game box, because I thought it was pretty good and I'm really interested in the second one, but I got distracted by WoW and Kingdoms of Amalur and job applications and going to Denny's (Fucking awful, that was) and Soul Calibur 5 and Infamous 2 and stuff. I haven't decided if I want to start over or continue where I left off.

Yeah, I play Spehss Mahreens, because my buddy got to keep the Orkz. They're pretty damn unbalanced, for sure. I have fun winning, but I'm not exactly proud of it, seeing as I haven't even bought any different units.

I just stick with Warhammer 40k books and video games, never touched the table top stuff. Sounds too complicated/expensive to get into.

being a regular/friend/younger brother to one of the employees kinda helps some times.
like, usually for my birthday or christmas, my brother knows what I need for my army to rock, and he usually loads me up with a bunch a cool junk.
And since the guys got a heart of fucking gold, he really does all he can to help out the regulars because, you know, theyre awesome.
(bit of a long story there, but basically, regulars can very seldomly get something from an employee for christmas, depending on very specific circumstances.)
CSB :I
Aanyway, Stan hasnt been playing much lately. Hes been locked out of his steam account and had schoolwork to do for the past little while, maybe Facade, but that game can only be funny for so long before you realize how fucking dumb it is and worse how dumb the fact that youre getting enjoyment out of it is.

The game just gave me a big "Fuck you asshole" by explicitly saying that Sector G will be a bitch to navigate. Sector F was just a preview of the horrid map layout that is to come but on the bright side, Tiamat went down easily after I exploited her weakness.
The usual game.

Started playing Batman: Arkham City. Finally; I'm gonna make my own mission to kick every single inmate's butt at least twice before I advance further in the story. Using explosive gel.

Uncharted Golden Abyss on my shiny new PS Vita. Amazing game, and the Vita is a phenomenal device, I love it so far, as much as the 3DS.

Final Fantasy 13-2: I know I complained about this when I first heard about it, detested the existences of its birth. But you know its actually quite fun, throw in a little bit of that Chrono Trigger Time travel shenanigan and we got ourselves a game.

Trying to beat my new game plus playthrough of Arkham City before I dive into Human Revolution (which I'm dying to play.) I've been stuck at the base of Wonder Tower. I don't even remember having a problem here on my first playthrough but the insane amount of extra damage firearms do on new game plus is making this ridiculously hard. Plus almost all the enemie are armored so stealth takedowns aren't an option. Bluh...
