Miranda is a closet racist, kinda stuck up, Jack is batshit insane, Samara is batshit insane and overtly devout to her beliefs, Kelly is REALLY into aliens, possibly banged a Varren, Liara's race, the Asari, make no sense, but Tali is awesome.
Jacks story was good but her romance was in my opinion the worst. She defrosted way to fast to be believable. I'm queen bitch, I'm queen bitch, wait I have a tender sensitive side (look crying!) and I love Shepherd! Bioware swung and missed in that regard. Miranda was just unlikeable, I agree there. I actually felt guilty about Tali, I felt like I was taking advantage of her youth and the glorified image of Shepherd she had built up, which I think is a home run for Bioware. Tali was completely believable, that was just how I reacted. In the end I remained faithful to Ashley, hopefully she's in part 3. Ot ME3 will be "foever alone: in space"

I dunno, sounds pretty psychopathic to me. Like, really fucking crazy. I think Miranda isn't so bad after a while, and yeah, I feel kinda creepy with Tali.

Its possible to have sex with her even if you're not doing the romance thingy with her. WHO KNOWS HOW MANY SPACE-STDS SHE HAS. I dunno though, I just thought Tali was adorable, so I went with her. My second playthrough I tried Kelly, something about her just rubs me the wrong way though. Anyways, on the topic of ME2 I beat it last night, will mop up the side missions, and then if the DLC doesn't go on sale this week, I'll just buy it.

The DLC is good. I still haven't played the latest one, I need to get on that before 3 comes out. I finally started playing Human Revolution. I have mixed feelings about it at the moment. I hope it lives up to its legacy.

Man I adore Human Revolution. Every moment was a blast for me. I gave up on going the game pacifist though. Damned impossible, I swear.

Eh. It works pretty well until you hit a boss fight. They contracted them out to a company who apparently doesn't know deus ex very well.

Been looking around the house for Mass Effect 2 so I can beat it with everyone alive, can't find it. Think my brother lent it out to someone.

Playing through Uncharted 3. They know how to fuck up the flow of their otherwise amazing game really really well. Fuck it up so well that I pick up the game, play until I reach the next check point and go "Oh yeah, that's why I stopped playing earlier." and put it back down.

Which part? I'll tell you the part that pissed me off most but don't want to spoil it if you haven't done yourself yet.

Jak II, spent another hour trying to get to the Stadium in 3 minutes and made it with less than ten to go, crashing my bike as I made it. But that cutscene made it worth it. And feel so smug getting through another horrid racing segment.
Every part that's more about shooting than anything else. The gunplay is the weakest part of the whole game, and they like to corral you into a small area and make you shoot wave after wave of enemies. The game has really been dragging ass since I reached the boat graveyard. Honestly, I've reached the point where I've just started rolling my eyes as soon as the villains show up, because I know they're going to be followed by a bunch of uninteresting goons. It's not as bad when you're actually fighting THROUGH enemies to get to somewhere else, like when you're fleeing from the castle... thing. You know, before you take the bus.
The gunplay mechanics are perfectly fine, they work well in my opinion, but I get what you're saying. Half the problem is that the enemies take a shit ton of shots to go down, then the other half, as you described, is having an ungodly amount of those enemies shoved up your ass in some little box of a combat space. Maybe if I didn't have to use half my ammo to kill a couple guys it wouldn't be so bad. I find the action bits to be more fun than the exploration, for the most part. When it comes to exploration, it can easily by summed up as "Geeze, Nate, we can't get this door open, better shoulder your machine gun that could easily tear through this door, and climb Mount Everest to find another way in.", and then you traverse the totally obvious handholds.
Pretty much completed ME2, gonna wait and see if the DLC goes on sale so I can do more of the plot stuff. ME3 is out next month, so I hope it'll be on sale soon.
Started Transformers War For Cybertron which I am borrowing from a friend. Jesus Freaking CHRIST is this game boring, I know I rip on Gears of War, and Modern Warfare 3 for being boring, but the both of those games are much more fun to play, and more interesting to look at too. Transformer looks like such a freaking mess, it's like a robot just crapped out a ton of metal, I know it's Transformers, and it takes place on a planet inhabited by robots, but good god they could make it a bit more interesting to look at, let alone play.

See, I'm completely the other way. I think the portions where you have to study the area around you and rely heavily on the journal are the best parts.
