Oh god the tigers are fucking built like tanks.

The Walking Dead Episode 4. Oh god all these feels.

EDIT: Just beat The Walking Dead Episode 5. No game I've ever played has invoked such an emotion reaction from me than this game has, the ending had me with tears rolling down my face, hell, I'm still choked up about it.

Its funny, trying to take out an enemy base when a bear suddenly appears out of no where and starts mauling people.

Giving me a viable melee weapon in any FPS is a mistake.  The original Doom chainsaw was fun but was really of limited use.  The Doom 3 chainsaw on the other hand?  Shit son... I can tell you stories that you wouldn't believe.  For example one of my friends eventually refused to play Doom 3 deathmatch with me anymore because he compared it to being trapped in a horror movie and claimed that imagining the sound of the chainsaw was keeping him up at night.  I won't say the fists of rage in Rage are on par with the Doom 3 chainsaw (because they're not) but I take sadistic glee in savagely pummeling enemies while kiting them and taking out even the huge armored Authority Elite goons with punches.  The trick is to not give in to the desire to get in close and keep punching til they drop because they will own you with their own retalitory melee strikes.  Punch and dodge, strafe to keep the opponent you're engaging between you and fire from other enemies and have your next target firmly in mind before your current opponent drops because you'll need to sprint and administer the next rounds of knuckle sandwich as soon as your current punching bag/bullet shield finally dies.  I'm at the point where I'm about to leave Wellspring for what sounds like forever and the game has shown no sign yet of finding a way to end my melee rampaging.  This started out as a way to conserve ammo early on when I was facing nothing enemies but holy crap, why stop?  I've had to use guns in a few select situations (take out snipers or molotov chucking mutants and the "boss" encounter in the garage but that's been about it.  A purely melee playthrough would probably be impractical and frustrating but my 90%+ melee playthrough has so far been extremely fun filled and satisfying.  And holy crap but you feel like a bad ass when you beat a giant rocket launcher toting mutant to death with your fists.

Now I know where Dark Spire gets its gameplay elements from.

So I beat Far Cry 3 the other day, and I must say I enjoyed it a lot! Have spent a good 40 hours on it so far, with stuff to do still, haven't even touched co op or multiplayer yet!

Also, some of you guys might be interested to know that THQ is giving Metro 2033 away for free.

I would be if I hadn't just bought it in the humble THQ bundle, still worth it though.

Hmm... So far cry 3s multi. For the most part, it's nothing special, the meat of the game is definitely in the single player. But the multiplayer does do a few things right. Specifically in terms of loadouts. A common problem found with a lot of multiplayer FPSs that have the loadout thing going on, you have to reach a certain level before you're able to create a class, and you're stuck with some shitty-ass premade loadouts, this means newbies will have a much harder time since they'll be going up against players who will kick their ass, Far Cry 3 makes custom loadouts available right from the start, with a variety of weapons and perks to choose from, so you can still stand a good chance against higher level players, and the perks they give you are the ones that in similar games would otherwise be used to rape newbies, like fast reload or high cap mags, these kinds of perks are the first ones you get. But yeah, aside from that, as far as gameplay goes it's just another Calladooty multiplayer clone.

Picked up a few games today...

Dark Souls. Holy fuck this game is hard as fuck, golly gosh darn gee wizz. It is incredibly satisfying when you make it through something though.

Binary Domain, fun shooter, I like the dialogue options they added in too.

Also picked myself up a Retro Duo console, basically a little console that can play NES and Super Nintendo games, I was feeling nostalgic, saw it at the pawn shop, decided to pick it up along with super mario world.

I need to install and play Metro 2033 on my PC.  I downloaded it like a week ago when I bought the new indie bundle but I've been playing Rage and Torchlight 2 instead.  Torchlight 2 is great but it might possibly have TOO MUCH awesome loot.  It's reached the point where I'm completely bogged down with stuff I want to keep including my inventory, the stash chest in town AND my pet's inventory.  It's ridonkulous.  But in a good way.

And Rage, well... punching people in the face with knives strapped onto your fists never gets old.  Like ever.  I'm currently scouring the Wellspring area for goodies and achievements I may have missed before I move on.

And It's better than Demon's Souls because it doesn't fuck up your whole game without warning!
