Doing some grinding in Shining Force.
Dear god the RNG hates me in that game.
Never get to counter attack, or do two hits in a row and very rarely I ever crit. But for the enemies, that's a whole another story.

Bleu takes a while to train up but heard he kicks the most ass once he gets going after 20 levels and a promotion. And who are you using, apart from Lyle, Zolo, Bleu and Domingo?
More Dungeons of Dredmor, three more Monster Zoos and capped out another skill tree. Everything I touch dies... but damn it feels good to be an avatar of death and destruction.

I have no clue yet, I'm grinding the battle before the Circus. That one always gets me.

That Circus was a huge pain and it means you aren't even close to getting your best archer. Or Zolo. Probably early for Bleu and think you get Domingo when you get Arthur, if you search for him. Same time as Anri maybe? This is getting me all nostalgic, have it on Steam with a few other Genesis games and absolutely need to replay it.

Yeah, the Circus and the Church fight always gets me mad. I lose so many characters and I never get any progression done for my characters.
But after a bit of growing up, having a sense of foresight and the knowledge of grinding hopefully things will go better.

Things definitely will, especially when you get some of the higher-tier characters.
More Dungeons of Dredmor, playing as a Crossbow war gal, got an Elemental Arrow mod with her and Smithing/Tinkering for some sweet, sweet crafting later on. And that Perception skill tree, shooting laser beams is always awesome. Game's insanely fun and a Monster Zoo on the second floor always spices things up.
Going Rogue + Permadeath, the manly way.

Got to Miss Ruby in Sly Cooper. What kind of braindead idiot thought any of this was a good idea? This is absolutely horrible game design. A simon says between every instance I hit the boss? Oh and simon says bits are slow as shit, and barely work? AND I HAVE TO START THE ENTIRE SLOW AND PAINFUL BOSS BATTLE OVER IF I GET HIT? Go fuck yourself. I'm at least glad to hear the sequel improves on things.

Sounds sort of like the frustrating as hell final boss in Beyond Good and evil, though that one also threw in inverted controls in the last sequence just for the extra bit of fuck you.

The only hard part was the inverted controls. Everything else needed for the boss was honed from time spent taking pictures of creatures in the midst of battle. And at least here you can get hit multiple times. I hear ya, that one was a major pain in the ass. And not many bosses in the first game can compare to the first Carmelita chase. That was easily one of my favorite moments in the game.

I beat her, thankfully. The game was nice enough to throw some lucky charms and extra lives my way when I was doing bad. That was a terrible boss fight though, and I hope none of the remaining ones are like it. I just wanna get past Sly 1 so I can play the others.

Third one's kinda iffy, they made some of the worst changes possible to the franchise. They changed Carmelita's voice! It was so in the first two but now it's just not as good. And the artifacts from the second game are gone and so is most of your incentive to explore for loot. The big 10k, HK be rollin'

Dark Souls... I was weak and could not resist the lure. Holy shit I have lost track of how often I've died already.
