More Dragon's Crown. Jesus they really make it difficult for couch co-op players in this game. The way playstation does things is pretty fucking terrible for any kind of co-op play. It's a couch co-op game, but I can't play my character at a friend's house. Or in my own house if I want to play with my brother. So, if they've spent any time playing by themselves, the character I play with them is ridiculously underpowered.

That's the developers problem, not sony. I've not had any issues with any co op playstation games I've played.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons for XBL's Summer of Arcade promotion. It's a neat little game so far.

No, it's only Sony. They strangle the fuck out of couch co-op with how ridiculously shitty their account system is.

I guess I'm just confused. What do you mean by "Couch Co op"? What kind of co op is it you're trying to do that has PSN accounts involved? I just turn on another controller and my friend and I go at it.

I think what he means is on Playstation you can't have two people signed in on the same console so if he is at his friend's and his friend is signed in he can't then sign in and have his character he has to sign into a guest account basically and use a default low-level character.

Ooooh okay, I get what you mean now. Yeah that sounds pretty shitty. I guess I've just never had to deal with it.

More Shadowrun Returns. The "Unlimited" UGC has a lot of potential, open world, lots to explore, (including random matrix runs for quick nuyen) and a setting more in keeping with the pen and paper (be prepared to have Lone Star on your ass if you pack heavy firepower.) This is one to watch.
And on the topic of Shadowrun there is a serious problem with the save system. Due to the checkpoint save system it uses and the "rewind" feature they added to take the sting out of not being able to save whenever you want save files bloat ridiculously the more autosaves you hit. This impacts imported characters and UGC with a lot travel (like Unlimited), putting an eventual cap on your character where the game will fail to save and load properly. It will supposedly be addressed in the next patch which I hope is true or it's going to make even official DLC all but useless.
Oh, also get your hands on "Dead Mans Switch Remodeled" it adds all the available cyberware and most of the weapons from the pen and paper source books to the official campaign. Very wiz.

Continuing Sid Meier's Pirates, putting it on Pirates' Sunset instead of any other setting means pirate hunters and more pirate hunters. Escorts turn into pirate hunters and never a moment's rest. Bounty's up to 25,000 for the Spanish and on my merry way to find my Uncle and Montalban's hideaway. Montelban and Raymondo are more often than not always on the Spanish Main and with that bounty I need luck to find them fast and just ride the waves before they get a bead on me. Only safe haven there is a Dutch settlement and that's on the east side. Everything west truly is El Spanish.
Still is pretty fun, but it's going to be a pain when I rescue all my kinsfolk and head for Montalban's hideout in Mexico.

Splinter Cell HD Collection. Splinter Cell 1 has not aged well...
EDIT: In general I'm just not having as much fun with these games as I did when they first came out. I regret buying this.

I beat Sleeping Dogs yesterday and Deus Ex Human Revolution today. Now I cannot decide what to play next. I guess I shall continue re-playing all of the Monkey Island games.

Sid Meier's Pirates, so worth that $5 on one of the Steam sales, despite only being 50% off. Year 3, rescued my Uncle, found Stede Bonnet's treasure, got a 38,000 gold bounty on my head and wooing all them dames while making excellent progress up the promotion ladder for all three other nations. And got myself a sweet Royal Sloop.

Playing Doom 3 BFG edition every once in a while.
Really weird since I played Fear and Fear 2 and that scares me more then Doom 3.

So... the last week or so I've been gradually going through my Steam library and "playing" every game. There are titles I've downloaded by haven't installed since I built my new PC and even more that never got upgraded to the new Steam file structure so basically I'm just making sure they all install and run (so far I only have a two or three that are being stubborn, like Dark Forces 2? Won't play full screen and keeps crashing on level load. Bluh...) Today I got stuck for a few hours in Mount and Blade. It's not pretty, and it controls a little clunky but there's some good stuff going on in it. I've gathered a nice little army and have been pillaging my way across the continent. And surprisingly got hired by a King to help take down a castle of one of his rivals. I'm of course planning on stabbing him in the back and taking it for myself, we'll see how that works out.
