>Playing Community Chest 3 with Brutal Doom Sperglord Edition "Hey this is pretty fun so far!" >Get to Map 05 >Goes full Slaughterwad "AND INTO THE TRASH IT GOES." I fucking hate that shit... In Doom, a Slaughterwad is basically a map, or set of maps that pit you against ungodly amounts of enemies. I'm playing through a set of maps that start out normal, and then I get to map 5, and it throws literally hundreds of enemies at me. I can't handle that.

Oh, it's fantastic. I just have to accept that I'm not always going to be able to get my whole team out alive. Though if I lose my Russian assault major, I'm going to snap my controller in half. She has consistently been the best soldier on every mission I've sent her on.
What difficulty setting do you use? I always save at the start of the mission.

I gave monster hunter 3 a try.
Thats the most you're gonna hear about that.
Also, I've figured out how to watch full episodes of Home Movies on my Wii U. So thats not a videogame.

That game is like puberty.
At first the grinding is awkward and weird, but eventually it just feels so right.

Which Tri? The one for the Wii, or Tri Ultimate for the 3DS and Wii U? Because i like Tri Ultimate, plus you really need to play with friends to get the most out of it. Also more Ultima series, I've been juggling Underworld 1 and Ultima IV on the nes.

Some of you may remember a while back I talked about the game Deadly Premonition for the XBox 360. It's a quirky bizarre game but despite (and partly because) of that, it's well worth playing. Right around Halloween last year they released a special director's cut of the game on Steam with more content and I caught myself almost rebuying it a few times. Well for those of you who want to check it out for the first time or want to pick it up and see what the difference is (like me) it's currently part of the latest indie gala bundle. http://www.indiegala.com/ You get it and a boatload of other games if you pay more than the average which last night was 5.19. Though the "Two Brothers" game is NOT the game where you control two characters at the same time that just came out a few months ago, it's an homage to Game Boy JRPG's. Not a bad thing but possibly not what you're expecting.
EDIT: While I'm plugging games, "LaMulana" is on sale as the Steam daily deal for 1.49. If you like Metroidvania type games (like symphony of the night) and/or brutally hard platformers and/or twisted logic puzzle games get this game. It's well worth the 1.49. HK in particular I think would enjoy it, I know your specs for your PC are rough but if you even think you might be able to run this old school pixelfest, check it out. It's a good game, even though the learning curve ramps up sharply and steeply very early in but it rewards milestones with a sense of accomplishment that is almost as intense as Dark Souls.

AHHHHH Deadly Premonition is so good. Isn't that right, Zach?
Seriously though, seconding Outlaw's recommendation. The gameplay can be a little awkward, but the story has so many wonderful twists and turns and the characters are memorable, even the minor ones. It'll be a long time before I forget Sigourney and her pot.

It's so rough that it doesn't meet the ram requirements. And the graphic requirements. But had enough change in my wallet after some card sales so picked it up and will install it later. I can run Kotor II and Dredmor so why not this? A long shot but definitely my style.

Man you can get like a decent enough desktop to run that stuff for a few hundred, you should get yourself some modern computer bro.
I also bought La Mulana though, looks cool. I like metroidvania.

My computer can run Gal Civ II pretty smoothly now, the equivalent of Colombian cocaine through it's wires and processors. Maybe one of these years I'll upgrade but until I run out of games on my Steam backlog, I'll pimp this decade old hardware.

So Guerrilla has been doing a really good job of supporting Killzone Shadow Fall's online. It improves the Call of Duty bullshit a lot of games have significantly, it's going to have free map packs, and the gameplay is totally solid... And nobody fucking plays it. There's MAYBE 700 people playing.
