Have you played the Lifeline expansion? I rarely, if ever, used guns before I got Lifeline, but my experiences in Danforth have resulted in me always carrying one when scavenging.

Yeah, I've got Breakdown and Lifeline. Felt like just playing the vanilla game recently though. I like Lifeline, though I can't seem to go through a siege without at least one person dying, which is a tad annoying.

As for bringing guns with, even my melee specialists always go out with a gun and 30 rounds of ammunition. Not doing so is just asking for trouble.

Mass Effect 2

It's pretty awesome, and Tali  He love you long time Jack totally hates me for it but it's worth it.

I loved Mass Effect 2.  I really need to get around to playing 3 one of these days.

I have been playing through some of the various games I've picked up in indie bundles recently.

Nosferatu: Wrath of Malachi.  Odd little game (I say little because it's short, 1 and a half to 2 hours-ish) where you go to a vampires castle and attempt to rescue your family/friends (apparently your sister is engaged to marry the vampire and you show up late to the wedding party.)  It's not a pretty game (originally released years ago and graphically hasn't aged very well) but I like it quite a bit.  The item interactions are simple but well thought out (the cross for example can be used to turn any water you run across into holy water) and there is a sort of rock/paper/scissor quality to the combat (for example the cross can repel vampires or even destroy spirits but has no effect on mortals enslaved to the vampire) and while the castle layout remains the same every playthrough the locations of many characters, items and even enemies are randomized.  You're encouraged to rescue as many of your friends and family as you can, for one you lose if too many die and two, each one you rescue can provide you either a special item or some kind of service such as healing.  It also has a healthy resource managment aspect.  There’s nothing quite like being down to one round for your pistol, out of holy water and down to minimal health and opening a door with no idea what might be waiting behind it.

Wasteland Angel.  I love vehicular combat games and this one seems simple but fun.  I almost bought it a few times, glad I finally picked it up.

Lifeless Planet.  A moody exploration/platformer set on a dead planet where you’ve crash-landed.  You’re following someone’s footsteps, first assumed to be those of your crewmember but after a while it’s obviously not him…  I like it so far though the fact that 90% of the game is walking and jumping puzzles (made a little more interesting with low gravity and jet assisted boosts) might wear thin eventually.

Leisure Suit Larry Reloaded.  Yep, another reboot of one of the most infamous games of all time.  Having played the original and the first remake already I would not have gone out of my way to get this but it was in a bundle I was going to get anyway.  It was a fun trip through nostalgia and they changed up enough to not make it a simple walkthrough even for veterans.  A few new things even got added.  Not bad if you were a fan of the series.

Outlast.  I loved this up until my first encounter with an enemy.   It’s moody and atmospheric (set in an insane asylum where apparently everyone has escaped and gone berserk) it’s obviously inspired by Amnesia where the protagonist has no weapons and must rely on stealth or avoidance.  Then scripted sequences and poor level design rape you.  It might get better later but I was greatly disappointed with the first “real” enemy encounter even though I did “beat it.”   Amnesia did it better is what I’m getting at.

Sangfroid: A tale of werewolves.  I was disappointed that this game wasn’t co-op because it really seemed like it should have been.  I haven’t gotten any further after completing the tutorial but it seems OK despite the lack of co-op.

Monaco: what’s yours is mine.  Holy crap this game is hard if you play it solo or even with just one other person.  It’s really meant to be played with a full four players but despite the later steep difficulty curve the game is well made and fun.  Short story is between one to four players  choose  a criminal from one of up to seven classes (some unlock later in the story) each having a unique skill or talent (the cleaner can knock out enemies, the locksmith picks locks faster than anyone else, etc.)  Each mission gets slowly more difficult, especially if you are trying to completely loot them (cleaning out a level gets you nice score bonuses and also unlocks additional missions.)  I like the art direction where each level is basically played out on a blueprint drawing with top down view and pseudo pixel 3-d models.

Charlie Murder.  A beat ‘em up in the tradition of Castle Crashers or Scott Pilgrim, this one can be quite dark but the game play is solid.  Best if you bring along at least one friend since each character has a unique team based move you won’t be able to use if you play solo.

As always, if you see me on Steam, Xbox or PSN and feel like doing some co-op gaming give me a shout.

Had that problem with Sasquatch for the longest time. He suffered a major injury during a mission and for some reason just would not get better despite having a doctor, medical tent, and plenty of meds. I had to reload a lot because he kept dying during sieges and my "Save everyone or you've failed" mindset wouldn't allow me to just move on. Explosives are handy for injured comrades and civilians. If they get swarmed, toss a pipe bomb and clean out any stragglers. Thank goodness for no friendly fire.

kingdom of Loathing- the writing is great, and the art's charming... I'm just waiting for Mewgenics to come out, but it seems like The Binding of Issac has taken the front burner for the Super Meatboy Team. ;_;

Heroes of Might & Magic 3 Complete

Screw the others, 3 is life. Got it from GOG's sale just to have it on digital and started a XL map with Underground, bunch of AI and the Necropolis just so I can have late-game massive skeleton armies.

Picked up a few other games from their sale and it's still going on for a few more days. Updates in 8 hours.

I loved Mass Effect 2.  I really need to get around to playing 3 one of these days.
Just wrapped it up and it was glorious. Can definitely see myself replaying it and will probably start 3 soon.

Ugh, friggin' Sasquatch. I have yet to figure out how the hell he expects me to kill a Juggernaut with blunt weapons, no guns or explosives. Damn thing just picks him up and rips him in half, completely shrugging off my character whacking it while it does so.

Anyhoop, started replaying Bioishock Infinite yesterday. 'Tis fun.

Mass Effect 3, picked up Leviathan and Citadel DLC for it. The Deluxe Edition on Origin already came with From Ashes and I should have all the essential DLC for it.
Going as Infiltrator again but I do miss dropping singularity fields and that broken ass Stasis Field from ME1. But sniping will get deliciously fun once I can drop enough credits to purchase the Black Widow. Might get the 5% discount just to cut the price of 250k.

Edit: Until I heard that I already got the Valiant Sniper God Killer Rifle from the Deluxe Edition. Sweet

It's going in my Steam backlog, where I have never played half the games, let alone install any.

I liked the concept of Receiver but the fact you can't remap keys which is a deal breaker for me.
