Go to her instead. leave the evening before the band thing, but don't actually leave. Sleep the night somewhere, and watch her perform. Hug her afterwards and tell her it was beautiful, no matter how truthful that is.
Actually, we're going Monday since we have school off for MLK's birthday. But that sounds like a good idea. And she's the band captain in a marching band that is performing in the Tournament of Roses Parade. She's got something going for her. |
