AP: Got a new TV for the living room today. £20 got me a 27" widescreen TV with 3 scart sockets and 4 not scart sockets. I forget what they're called, but they've got the red, white and yellow plugs and games consoles use them.
As well as having an awesome new TV, this means my TV can go back to my room.
Related PP: My housemate is a weak girlface noodlearms. I learned this when we tried to carry the TV home. I could have carried it on my own if it were less bulky and fragile (And I did for a while), but he had to have a break every minute or so.
He eventually insisted we get a taxi to take it back. Useless smegbread.

We may fail alone, but that is better than dying with them, only to be forgotten. I for one, would rather suffer now, than leave this life without passion.

AP: Our band was one of the winners opening for Saving Abel next Thursday!
Related PP: Almost all the bands last night bailed out at the last minute, leaving just three; Razorblade Rose, Pseudo Nein and Live On for Tomorrow. With the inital seven bands, we were only allotted roughly 20-30 minutes of stage time each, NO COVERS. Then last night, when all the bands bailed, they decided to allow covers. At a Battle of the Bands.
Covers at a Battle of the Bands = NO.
Even if we would have decided to do covers, Dave left his other two guitars at home. The band after us (and before us, not that I think of it) did play covers, and they ended up winning (1st place). We kind of thought that was a drag, but we're still going to be there opening. I'd rather have came in 2nd and still be able to play than 2nd and sent home, yeah?
EDIT: None of us like Saving Abel... we're just happy to open for a signed band with ticket sales instead of door cover.
