Nah, valve only has the okay kind of Microtransactions. They really only have hats and shit like that.
Its pretty ridiculous, they charge like $7.50 for a TAUNT. And around the same price for stupid hats. |

Replace "Valve" with "Funcom" and you have a large chunk of the "Anarchy Online" forums. To be fair it's mainly the paid accounts who get access top the expansion packs meaning better armour, weapons, more gaming areas, faster levelling etc but they still blah blah blah. AP: I am an AO Froob so only pay one off small amounts (about £5) for being able to mail objects between toons on the same free account for example. Otherwise I pay nothing at all to play and it's my choice to pay anything at all. I can still run around (or rather fly/teleport) around MOST OF AN ENTIRE PLANET and am happy. AP2: Hooked up with a good Org (Guild to you non Sci-Fi MMORPG gamers) who started small but are growing fast. Only criterion is be polite, be of the Neutral Faction and, oh yes, be over 25 in the real world. Griefers *will* be stomped on/nuked/tutted at. My kinda people. |

I got it back when you had to pay for it and it won't run. Now I don't feel as bad, but it sucks when you get a game that you can't play. Going to do this again for Hearts of Iron III someday. AP: Walked home from Three Cliffs bay in the Gower. 'Tis a 9.5 mile walk, done in 2 hours and 15 minutes. Lovely walk too, until you get to the built-up areas.
EDIT- AP: Mate of mine offered the use of a metal detector to help look for milady's necklace on friday.
