Since this never transferred over from the old forum, I figured I'd start an amalgamated music thread!

Anyways, the reason I started this is because I need some new bands. I'm feeling very 'Nightwish' at the moment, something...well, for lack of a better description would be epic. Although my tastes are quite varied-as a sample, here's the new driving CD I'm in the process of burning:

Lux Eternia-Requiem for a Dream Soundtrack
Airship Pirate-Abney Park
Valhall Awaits Me-Amon Amarth
Shotguns and Shovels-Double Wide
Death by Trucker-Double Wide
The Poet and the Pendulum-Nightwish
Ghost Division-Sabaton
Primo Victoria-Sabaton
Dead Bury Their Dead-Arch Enemy
Before I Die-Mushroomhead
Sonne (Clawfinger K.O Remix)-Rammstein
Superbeast-Rob Zombie
Raining Blood-Slayer
(sic)-Slipknot
Storming New Caprica-Battlestar Galactia Sountrack.

(I also look forward to prosperous spring of confusing people when I drive around topless-I had a riot belting around town wearing my old flat hat, wearing goggles and listening to E Nomine at enough volume to cause hearing damage.Grin)

I saw Nightwish about a year ago. Can't say I was massively impressed with the new singer, the lack of an operatic voice was somewhat disapointing. She was severely lacking in the corset department too  Grin Shame because I saw the old lineup ages ago and they were great.

Check out Hospital of Death. They play 80's style thrash but their lyrics have a wicked sense of humour. Also a band called Alestorm. They play pirate metal, which is rather more fun than it sounds.
