Better off Dead - Bad Religion.
It's funny how a song or even a series of sounds can give so much meaning to someone. Meaning above and beyond which the writers probably never meant the piece to have. Interviews with musicians are rife with examples of how rabid fans approach them, telling them how a piece connected to them and explaining what personal meaning they derived from it. Too many laugh at their fans and go on to explain how the song was written about a guy they once saw at a bar or a girl they once danced with or something else equally insipid. You know what? Know enough not to say anything. Nod your head sagely and say zen bullshit like, "It's always gratifying to find how our music connects to our fans you know? How they can always find some other level of meaning to the song." That's not a rant about this song in particular, just musicians in general. But listen to the song. It's fucking good and I know I've attached a personal meaning to it way above and beyond what was intended and I don't want that ruined.

Yeah they are awesome, been one of my favourite bands now for about 7 years (wow saying that makes me feel old lol). The Promise by In this Moment (I'm sort of obsessed with this song at the moment, and I love the film clip for some reason >.>)

We may fail alone, but that is better than dying with them, only to be forgotten. I for one, would rather suffer now, than leave this life without passion.
