The undressing part was more of a "See, I don't hide anything here that I'll thrust into your abdomen when you get within arms reach" signal.(Daniel wears quite loose clothing which could hide many things)
Everything else would kinda hit the spot.
The shaving part was something I thought of as an act made by a very tired mind thinking "I don't look presentable at all". Though yes: Poor judgement.
Edit: I have noticed the timeframe of the outbreak in this scenario and some other factors and... well I've blundered up a bit. Daniel is technically 18(17 at the beginning of and some of the following months after the outbreak), unless I were to slightly edit his story.
Edit2: I think Leland or Alex are up now.

So far we have two separate stories. The one in the hallway and the one in the apartment. Both of which are precariously teetering on the edge of disaster. One slipped move and someone could get shot. Like right now, Ignot is probably going to draw his gun at Kenneth, mostly because that he is a stranger that is approaching their only medic. Yeah, not a good idea.
One errant twitch could get you killed, but don't meta game that. Right now, we have great players that are keeping with the realism of the story quite well. Like i said in the sign up portion, this should be treated like real life. I'll allow spectacular things, but don't expect that being an hero will do anything but get you killed.
So choose your actions carefully.

Definitely keeping all of that in mind, but whatever happens, happens. If Kenneth was surprised at Daniel's collapse to the point where he totally forgot about his weapon in hand which causes a cautious or defensive player to draw their weapon and possibly shoot and injure... or kill... Kenneth, then so be it.
Revising your post because of an error in the story is one thing, but editing it because it COULD lead to bad effects is another. This is an apocalypse. People are tired, delusional, hungry... sometimes, bad things are going to happen. Sometimes, characters aren't going to realize what to do in certain scenarios. I respect those of you who play your characters with these things in mind.
