@Cheez: I agree that genetics should definitely apply. People would have tiny percentages of other races in them, but because the percentages are so tiny the person is still classified as whatever the majority is. Also, Elves and Orks rarely get together due to bad history, so halves are pretty much all you'll get from that mixture. As opposed to the more common Elf/Humans, or Ork/Trolls.
@Log: Pretty much. It's mostly cultural barriers and bad history that keep them separated.

Of course, like all of my projects, my treasure-hunter girl project had to be delayed due to a shitty programme. Flash CS3 was working for about a half day yesterday, so I thought I could continue it, but it failed as usual right when I thought it was actually going to work. We'll see what the future holds. Who knows? Maybe my life won't actually suck. Anyway. Did some fan art for Hey Ash Whatcha Playin', because I was bored.  |

Ah, I see. Thankee for der linkenscleiffer. I dunno, Elves and Orcs are still pretty much humanoids. I always saw it as breeding a Chihuahua with a Great Dane. Sort of the same thing, but drastically different at the same time.
Bit of a late reply to this, but meh. Obviously while it depends on the setting, assuming it's a standard 'generic fantasy world', I'd be more inclined to compare it to breeding an orang-utan with a chimpanzee. Sexytiems can still be had, but it won't do much of anything. By the way, Sammich, just thought I'd ask- would ye be open to an art request? |
