I was hoping for something more badass.

Lets see off the top of my head....
All of Fable 1 Fable 2 Final Fantasy X-2 Fallout 1 Fallout 2 All forms of Halo Dragon Age: Origins Hellgate London Overlord 1 Overlord 2 Dead Rising (The controls are TERRIBLE!!) The Borderlands ending (seriously.....)
And mostly...
World of Warcraft's Wrath of the Lich King raiding instances. Where they created FOUR different types of the same instance (10 normal, 25 man normal, 10 hard, 25 hard). This was they could exhaust their content even faster by finding new ways for you to get sick of instances 4 times faster and weasel out of creating new content like they did for other expansions. And of course the blaitent catering to casuals and giving them top end gear measurable to hardcore raider gear. These are the reasons I quit this game... that's all i can think of atm... I'm sure I'll find more

*Maybe spoilers?*
Almost all of Fable 3. The NPC interactions, item management (or lack of), leveling, and fast-travel are especially infuriating in my opinion.
I liked Dragon Age Origins. But, I was disappointed by it. I thought it was going to be on a much grander scale, with an open world. Instead it was a very closed world that had X amount of enemies, and items. It very much reminded me of diablo 1, and in diablo 1 it was completely random in terms of what items would drop and enemies appear. In dragon age, they predetermined which items would drop, and which enemies spawned. Nothing ever changed unless you took a different story route which usually changed 1 or 2 items or monsters at most, but still gave you something comparable for taking that other route.
Fallout 1 and 2 were just not for me. I love RPGs, and liked the concept, leveling, and story of fallout 1 and 2, but didn't like the play style for some reason.

You just said that a very large chunk of classic/critically acclaimed games sucked. Does not compute.

Usually when people say things like "I hate" and then just spew out a list of things that most people like, I chalk it up to tryhardery and move on.

These were just games that I just found uninteresting, or that in my personal opinion felt were lacking a certain something. My opinion is my own, and has no control over the minds of others or the world.
