PP: People spitting on precious childhood memories by turning them into cash-ins.
Warning: Major rant upcoming.

In the sweet old days of the early 90's there were many classic shows for children.
You had the ever so addictive Thomas the tank engine.

The enormous success of the awesome Norwegian theater act (which was turned into a movie) Captain Saber tooth which had a theme song that was so awesome it still haunts the minds of parents who are forced to listen to it 300k times every day. (it is also great getting drunk to)

You also had the huge Scandinavian successes of the Swedish film adaptations of Astrid Lindgren's many famous stories.
These movies started in the 70's yet remained popular with children to this very day.
Especially Emil i Lönneberga (the intro explains perfectly what this show contained) which I blame to be a major reason for why Norwegians generally can understand Swedish while the Swedish generally can't understand Norwegian.

You also had Postman Pat, Fireman Sam, etc. These shows were creative quality entertainment rather than most of the cash-in garbage you see on children's television these days.

And in the awesome year of 1993, there was made a Norwegian show called "Pelle Politibil"(Pelle Police car).

That funny little Volkswagen went around catching thieves and being awesome and cute.
And like most shows in those days, it had one hell of a catchy theme song.
This show was one of my absolute favorites as a child.

And then, many years later, the revive him as

A "Cars" rip-off...
But that can still work, right?
I mean, he is still catching thieves, right?
...No. He is... he is fighting environmental criminals. Okay, so they try to put some lame environment message.
But like, he is fighting big corporations that are trying to dump their shit in nature illegally, right?
No... he is... fighting two badgers who for some reason have an hard-on for polluting.
*breathe*
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!
WHAT DID YOU DO TO PELLE, YOU ASSHOLES!
Stop trying to take a dump on my childhood! This is NOT the kinda shit I remember Pelle for!
Also the animation is poor.

PP: The fact that the BBC is FULL of repeats of crap but none of the GOOD stuff. I refer to The Adventure Game, The Great Egg Race, Space Vets (which was comic genius) and Samurai Pizza Cats. As much as I love Diagnosis Murder I have seen them so often I know the plots by heart and will someone please burn the tapes of Murder, She Wrote already?
PP2: Please. Please, for the love of Eris, will someone PLEASE tell Channel 4 to knock it on the head with the reruns of Friends? I didn't like the programme when it was first broadcast but now it's on several times a day EVERY DAY I VISIT MY GIRLFRIEND. And the worse of it is IT ISN@T EVEN THE WORST THING ON THE TELLY!
PP3: For all this Milady pays an annual fee of nearly £150. This is not for cable, satellite or anything like that. This is the MANDATORY TELEVISION LICENCE THAT YOU must for having ANYTHING that can get a colour telly signal in your house INCLUDING a tv tuner card on your computer. I am Opus Fluke and I got rid of my television several years ago.

PP: Shitty TV.
PP2: Having to pay a TV license because my housemates (Who have yet to even move in, the sods) wanted one.

Seriously, the only thing I watched for about two years or so is Dr. Who on the iPlayer. I'd rather save me cash.

I think the only way I'll get a TV is if I get a wife with one.
I don't really watch TV anymore. Only when I'm at my mother's place. She still doesn't have internet >.>

The Canadian channel Teletoon Retro.
Check out that sexiness; check out the retro! Not like the whores of yestertoday, but the Hollywood divas of the olden days!

... Who are you... What have you done with the real Amadeus?!
You will not take my identity to watch quality cartoons!

PP: You non-Canadians who don't have Teletoon Retro... You know the ones.
I not look on ye with scorn, malice, malcontent, hatred, laughter, smugness and all that jazz, but with pity and sadness.

PP2: The world not having Teletoon Retro.

And I shall not revive one such as ye... For thou shalt only suffer more in life than in death.

PP: Dream I had last night. Dreamed that I smoked pot laced with methamphetamine, blacked out, and called my best friend and called her stuff that I would never say to her in real life, which caused everyone she knew (except her brother, who believed me, but couldn't do anything) to hate me and she wouldn't listen to me when I tried to explain what happened. I woke up probably six times during the night, breathing like I was having a panic attack, and would fall back asleep and the dream would pick back up where it left off.

By far, the worst dream I've ever had that wasn't an actual nightmare.

amen to that. Google's slavishly imitating everything Bing or other engines do... and why? They do a BAD JOB with their imitation, and every change Google makes bogs their services down even more.

Trying to be Bing is irritating because Bing does a better job of being Bing. Google USED to be better at providing search results, but that's stopped being their priority, it seems.

Seriously, the whole appeal of Google was the SPEED.  Now it just looks and behaves like ass and it's slow, way to fix what wasn't broke guys...

PP: Insomnia...  I feel like ass and this industrial grade cough syrup makes me feel stoned out of my mind but I can't sleep.  What the fuck is wrong with me?  Besides the horrible illness and all that I mean...
