PP: When I have to play a male character just so as to be able to wear pants and normal shirts, something has gone wrong.
"Sex sells," while true to a certain extent, is just a cheap trick anyway. Look at the Valve games. Massively popular, shockingly without a whole lot of T&A or tall, muscular guys.
That's what I'm getting at with my PP about my friend always playing the Female. He thinks ALL, and I mean 95% of all male video game characters are cliche, when a lot of them really aren't. But when you look at a female character, you got Skimpy outfits and giant breasts, he somehow doesn't think that's cliche.
He loses interest in a game, most of the time, if he finds out you play as a male. And then the Uncharted 2 thing just pissed me off, I don't think Nate Drake is cliche, he's a wise-cracking adventurer in Jeans and a shirt, not some steroid abusive War Veteran out for a blood vengeance with armor that's made from an old Ford F-150 that's 7 feet tall. Only time he plays as a male is if he's a pretty Japanese Final Fantasy Character. I personally couldn't give to shits about who I play as in a game, so long as I have fun.
But whatever! I'm done ranting! XD
PP: Babbling on with my Ranty-ness.
