PP: Job interview at 2 in the afternoon tomorrow. I can't sleep.

You can't make a 2 o'clock appointment if you sleep until 2 o'clock.

PP2: The relaxing sounds. They are not working.

Good luck Log <3

PP: So earlier today I ate a slice of bread with a thin layer of butter(duh) and a cooked egg on top(cut in half to cover the bread slice).
Now, I love caviar on my eggs. It tastes delicious on cooked eggs.
omnomnom.
Then I took a cup of coffee... some caviar was stuck between my upper lip and teeth... the coffee made the caviar warm...
/nausea
Fuck, that is so HORRIFYINGLY disgusting a taste! Warm fish eggs... mmmmmh...  >Sad

PP: So I'm arguing about morality.
And somehow, the opposition has it in their heads that I am using "objective morality to define subjective morality."
Um... how the hell does "Defending your pack helps your gene pool to survive" all of a sudden become "objective morality". It simply IS so!
If no one defends the pack the gene pool will die out. It is quite fucking simple.

Huh!? no! I was arguing for it.
It is just that morality isn't actually objective(that would require a "law giver"), yet it is natural. It is subjective.
And somehow I am using "objective morality" by saying that defending your pack increases your kin and gene pool's chance of success. Rather than to egoistically save your own hide.

Anti-natural selection statement.

save your own hide.
Survival of the fittest = natural selection.

eeeeerrr. no. (yes survival of the fittest is right)
Self-sacrifice or at the very least putting your life on the line for your pack is a BIG part of evolution and natural selection and very important.
Crap, internet shuts off in 5 minutes so I don't have time to explain why self-sacrifice does NOT fly in the face of evolution. And why it is entirely natural. <.<

It is natural and it may be natural selection, but not in the favor or who is playing the sacrifice.

yes, but generally the one who is sacrificing a) already has some children (not nescesairlly human, i just dont remember english word for it), b) is closely related to the ones that he/she/it is sacrificing himself for.
so, he increases the chances of survival of his, or same as his genes.

That only really works with Lemmings.
And they only commit mass martyrism when the population exceeds what their resources will sustain.
food > lemmings = cool beans
food < lemmings = oh shit * jumps off cliff *

A singular sacrifice in the heat of the moment doesn't really fall in the same category as what the lemmings do.

As far as it goes, sacrifice for the group does help- generally because you're related to the members you're sacrificing for. This is how you get pack structures like wolves, or other social creatures. Whether or not the sacrifice had kids, their siblings have a chance to have kids, and that means that the genes get passed on. They get passed on by proxy, but they still get passed on Wink
Natural selection, y'gotta remember, is all about passing on *genes* and not about the survival of a particular individual.

PP: Wordpress, thou poxy whore, I asked for your posts IN DATE ORDER. You gave them to me as if they were arranged by syphalitic hatters! This is NOT THE RIGHT ORDER. Now I get to repopulate the comic database again.
