Also, I realized how much I resemble the Retro Gamer. While I don't hate modern games, I love the amount of work that went into retro games--and still goes into it, at least with indie games. There's just a sort of flare in retro games that isn't there today. Like, sure you made that model, but did you etch out every last pixel? No. XD I'd be playing that stuff all day if my NES was working...Maybe I should visit Frank & Sons at some point and buy a new one. Maybe a SNES...Or~*Rambles*

Anyway...Categorizing is a bitch. Reminds me of that Flame War thing.

True. Though a lot of the classic games I got are the classic nintendo ones, like Super Mario World, Super Metroid, etc. I never really played anything aside from those when I was young.

To get back on topic, I think some more catgories for this thong should be made. I dunno, I just think there should be.

I'd think I'm Pro/Rec. I play games mostly for story though, and I rarely play competitive multiplayer (like CoD or Halo) unless I'm playing with a friend.

I fit... disturbingly well into pro gamer, more through natural talent than actual dedication to games. But there is a fair bit of rec gamer mixed in, too. Frankly, there's a few kinds of games I get good at (especially fighting games) without ever really getting to a level where I) trunce my opponents.

An example would be Soul Calibur 4. I own the game. If I sat down with it, I would quickly become very, very good at it. Which is why it's just laying there, waiting for someone to come around and play. By not playing, I stay level with friends, which makes the game enjoyable. Same reason I don't play Gears or Halo very much, either. It's funwith friends, but not so much when alone.
