I can relate.
We had to get respirator certified at my old warehouse because we had agrichems that would go airborne (darn that silly OSHA).
I had to run on a treadmill wearing a full-face respirator.
I can only assume a gas mask would be equally unpleasant ...if not more so.
UGH.

Haha, I suppose that's true. I wear glasses and a mouthguard instead of a mask when I'm playing AirSoft... I tried playing with a hard mask one time and found myself struggling to breathe. Probably too close to the face, I might've been feeling a bit claustrophobic subconsciously.

I've worn both, they're really about the same as far as the feeling of restricted breath. When you're getting winded it's like trying to breathe through a straw. The only part of a gas mask that makes it worse is if you're prone to claustrophobia some people seem to get a much worse feeling of confinement in them.

Pulppu offered to give me one gas mask but I had no use for it, now I think I'll ask him if he still has it, it turns out my ridiculously narrow jaw makes dust masks not fit my face and when I use the grinder the dusty air goes around it and I choke. With the filter removed and replaced with a piece of the fabric used for the dust masks (because they're not made for dust, they'd clog) it should do AND look awesome.

Here is the UNFINISHED project:  With mask. Yes, that is a drawing of Gambit on my wall. Yes, I drew it on there. No, I did not come up with the design, I used a projector   without mask. tonfa/nightstick was a late addition due to Jasper's antics recently.  No mask on, yes that is my real gun. Gun safety, never touch the trigger until you are ready to destroy something.  Mask and Gun.  Awesome fucking boots. yes, that is a knife sheath. I am going to get it tooled to fit my knife. |

only things I need to finish on the costume:
1: sew a strap on chest opposite the Mag pouches for my glove pouch.
2: ScreenPrint the rank on the right breast (which Jenny let me see the NEW RedHalo Ranks. I felt so fucking special) the Red Halo symbol on the left breast, and the BIG RH symbol on the back. and that is coming very very soon.
