ROPE SWING!

ROOOOOPE SWIIIING (One of the many reasons I love going to Marlena's house)

Oh, yeah; her neighborhood has a FREAKING DUCK POND. ADHD pretty much dictates we love feeding animals. Because we are silly.

@Stan- I assume you mean in WW2? Yeah, Brits were issued gas masks due to fears of chemical attacks.

You can't be a forumite without at least one Epic Hat.

...crap
I do not own an epichat.
I DO, however, own a hooded cloak that used to be part of my Ren Fest costume ...does it qualify?

Spikyhelm, Wehrmacht or more modern?

Wehrmacht Heer, either a basic Grenadier's uniform or a Feldwebel's uniform.

And, sargeant RB, sre you going to get a gas mask? or is that more a british thing?

I don't have any conceivable reason to own a gas mask.  Also...

-punches Stan again-

How about learning how to spell?  And even mayhaps learning how to use capitalization, punctuation, and basic English?  Or at least go and mangle a language we can't understand.

The following is for EVERYONE who is having difficulty grasping the concept of plain English, not just Stan (but mostly Stan):

It's really not that hard.  Let's begin with the basics:  You capitalize proper nouns, such as names [Steve, Mark, John, Wendy] and places [Canada, Britain, Singapore], or nationalities [British, French, Italian, Polish].  You also capitalize the letter "I" when referring to yourself, and any letter at the beginning of a sentence. You use periods [.] to mark the end of sentences, exclamation points [!] to mark the end of exclamatory remarks, and question marks [?] to denote a question.  You use apostrophes ['] in contractions [can't, won't, don't] or to denote ownership [Stan's, Grammer's, Cheez's].

Context is a bit trickier.  For instance (and I realize this is difficult, but bear with me), the word "hear" is used to describe what you pick up while listening to someone or something, such as "I hear the sound that you are making."  The word "here," on the other hand, is used to denote a location, such as "I am here," "We are here," "They were here."

For example:
"Bear with me" means "Hold on."
"Bare with me" means "Let's take our clothes off!"

Same pronunciation, same number of words, even the same letters (rearranged, of course), but with two entirely different meanings.

Last--but certainly not least--there are two buttons to the right of the button you click to make us look at what idiocy you put up on our forum.  These are, from left [<--That way] to right [That way -->], the "Preview" button and the "Spell Check" button.

Here's a visual:

[Post] [Preview] [Spell Check]

The "Preview" button allows you to look at your post and determine whether it is really necessary to include it in the thread at hand.  It is very handy, because it gives you extra time to think about what you're saying and how it will look to other viewers.  For instance, I will not be using the "Preview" button for this post--I don't have to think about it before I say it, because I know how it will come across.

The "Spell Check" button miraculously MAKES ALL OF YOUR SPELLING CORRECT.  There's a catch--words that are already spelled correctly (even if they are not the word you are going for, such as if you type "here" where you meant to type "hear," it will not pick that up, because "here" is technically spelled correctly, even if it isn't usedcorrectly).  That's right!  The infallible "Spell Check" button does not correct for context!  That's another great reason for the "Preview" button.

Merriam-Webster is an excellent source if you want to know whether a word fits in a sentence.  Here it is, from the fxxxing original source itself, so USE IT.

EDIT-- No, I'm not perfect, but at least I try.

And of course, to keep the thread moving:

This is a wonderful picture!

This is the one I own though it's been "misplaced" for the last couple years.  I know I'll find it again one of these days.

Haha, I said that because I was feeling jerkish.

Personally, I don't like gas masks. They make it hard for me to breathe... same with paintball masks and the likes.  I don't know why this is.

You get used to it, especially if you have to wear one as a job requirement.

Getting used to shooting while wearing one is probably the hardest because you can't get the sort of cheek weld you're used to having.  It just plain feels unnatural.
