Her arm was injured (the bear had struck first) but the article didn't phrase it like it was serious.

Way to make it even more badass. I bet she smacked the bear around with that arm as well.

TIL that a second-grade Argentine boy signed with Real Madrid.
What the fuck. I knew the rest of the world--especially Europe--took soccer seriously, but... wow. And I know it's just a player development contract and it's not like he's going to take the field for the next game, but that's like a 2nd grader being drafted into the MLB and playing Class-A.

From what I hear, it's a "youth academy," which means it's not the actual team, but a sponsored program from the team.
Then again, this doesn't surprise me. You saw this kind of thing in upstate New York all the time. A lot of my friends went to camps kinda like this but for hockey or other sports. It's usually to train them for Pro or even Olympic spots. My friend left our junior high to go to some camp that trained Olympic athletes because she was a swimmer, it was pretty cool. But, it's not for everyone. The training is intense man.
TIL that people want to start riots in Glasgow. C'mon guys.

Yup, where kids with money or government funding go.
Just remembered that it takes 20 minutes to walk there, give 10 at the most for finding the right building and class.
TIL more grade 12 mathematics. Some of it was wizardry and sorcery but some I remembered and others were pretty nifty.
