Today I've learned just how many books/comics I have. There's now three filled boxes outside with things I intend to keep and one box with stuff that will be dumped off somewhere else.

The throwing away one is the only one that's open and not full, so no worries. Also, thanks *Hands out cake.* I think it's the second time I break the 6k mark.

Today I learned that my horror teacher did his dissertation on "Night of the Living Dead" This makes me ten times awesome and I have told my entire class to call me "Sars" because there is a person that shares my name.
This bods well since we have a swine flu scare at the school.
Also, Lovecraft.

But she's bang on about The Prophet Lovecraft. TIL you should never buy a computer on the cheap through a government scheme. My father bought this Dell Dimension 5150 that I'm using now as he's a teacher. Only now the DVD R/W drive won't burn and I was all ready to plumb in the replacement as a second drive ths afternoon only to discover that the new drive is a SATA (as has been the industry standard connection for internal gubbins for about five years now) but the motherboard and power unit are PATA. Square peg round hole. STA/PATA Adapter unit ordered and on its way. Those buggers at Dell were punting old PATA kit banking on foks not opening up the case to replace drives. Sneaky devils.

I'm thinking about getting a external hard drive, both for keeping stuff on and for classes. Waaay cooler than a USB drive.

Today I learned that the original Half Life game has been sitting in my drawer for the past decade and I didn't even know. Thank you older brother for throwing your crap into my room so many years ago.
