You can do everything in the game, you can get every bottle and bottle every faerie and do every subquest and get every minute thing accomplished, and you can beat Ganondorf, too - but the game never saves at the end. You can save in his castle, I think right up until the point where you fight him. But it never saves after that. After you beat him, if you turn off the game, when you turn it back on, it just goes to the last save point. There can never be a record of your beating Ocarina of Time.

TIL that I go to one of the few schools in the country where gunfire is not cause for concern. I heard gunshots from an M249 SAW this morning and my only thought was "Why the fuck didn't I close the window?" And then I went back to sleep.

I go to a military college. I'm not a part of the Corps of Cadets, but it's still the Military College of Georgia. They've been out on the drill field practicing with automatic weapons since about 6:00 this morning (blanks, of course). There's also a rifle range (not blanks) not too far away from one of the dorms, and the people who live in that particular dorm are always complaining about being woken up by the gunfire. They may be blanks, but that doesn't change the fact that the campus sounds like a fucking war zone. |
