Today I learned that the motto on my family crest is actually Latin, not Gaelic. I had always just assumed since, y'know, it's a Scottish crest. Turns out I've been wrong this whole time.

TIL that at my high school graduation, my diploma was handed to me by a Cy Young-winning World Series champion.
In other words, one of the members of my county's school board was a relief pitcher for the 1991 World Series-winning Minnesota Twins and also received the Cy Young Award in 1987. And this was the man who handed me my diploma and shook my hand. I'm surprised I never knew this before.
