Why hath this not been posted yet? So, epic news, if you haven't heard: Valve is bringing Steam to the Mac, starting with Portal 2 (which just seems to fit). The great part about it is that you can save/quit a game on PC and then continue playing on the Mac, and vise-versa. Rather than Steam only sticking to either Mac or PC with no functionality between. So, ultimately, PC users can battle Mac users. Which should be terrifying, given the war between PCs and Macs. I really love that Valve did this. You don't see many other companies who are willing to accommodate other platforms, especially Macs. It shows that they're truly devoted to the players. Maybe this'll put Macs into the gaming category now. Who knows.

Also, if you buy a game on steam, you get both versions, so you don't have to pay twice to be able to play on your Mac.

I'm hoping that it doesn't take too long for Valve to convert all of it's games to Mac format..I have a friend who has a Mac but no PC, my other friends and I are always playing CSS or Gmod or some HL2 Co-op mod, and he's all left out and it sucks. So this is good.

I don't think it'll be too long. They've probably been working on it for a while.

For the first time in Valve history, something might be released on time!

Yup, probably. Maybe by then Half Life 2 Episode 3 will be out, or the next Meet the Class video.

By then Windows Computers will probably be at Windows Operating System 100 or something like that, and Mac will have a new computer that's $10,000 and still doesn't do much of anything.
