Project Natal is something being created for the Xbox 360. It's a motion-sensor and voice-detector that will give gamers the ability to play without a controller. The motion detecting is powerful, capable of even noticing facial movement. I'm kind of scared about the voice-detection, however, since I could be making a game-altering choice and then suddenly have someone run in and yell "PENIS!" thus screwing me over.  Anyway. I'm not sure if this is a bunch of sparkles and glitter or if it's actually legitimate. They say it'll be out by Christmas of this year, so we'll see. It's probably wicked expensive. Lionhead Studios--among other companies--already started work on games supported by Natal, possibly including Fable 3. Is anyone else looking forward to this?

well, i dont have an xbox, so it doesnt really matter for me. but i would like this to to use as a control in games. i like the keyboard and mouse:D
anyway, combined with internet, a device that can register voice and facial expressions reminds me of the telescreens or wahtever they were called in orwells 1984.

EyeToy that works is more like it. I had an EyeToy awhile back, it was a giant PoS, it barely worked, this actually looks pretty decent, though I probably won't buy it unless they have some good games to go with it.

They said the price range was around $100. Also, if anybody has seen the E3 videos, Natal doesn't look too bad and will definitely bring something new to gaming with full body motion controls, but if they make essential for every game, then its going to fucking destroy the Xbox.

Nah, they wouldn't make Natal essential for every game, if that's what your saying, but that would be stupid if they did. There were rumors Halo Reach would use Natal, but Bungie denied it. The games for Natal will probably be just lame little games like the one shown in the E3 presentation.

Well, I remember Peter Molyneux of Lionhead, during GDC, saying something about Natal possibly being implemented into Fable 3. Either that or it was one of his usual "shrug-maybe-who knows" things.
I'd love to see them make a Mirror's Edge 2 and implement Natal. That would be wicked sick.

Oh, yeah. I was just referencing larger, mainstream games, since Yut said Natal would only be used for just smaller ones. Milo and Kate is gonna be pretty sweet.
