"Sorry, some really important personal stuff came up. I can wait until then though. Really sorry about this."

She waited until Joey retreated back into the kitchen, out of sight. She then quietly walked over to the door and turned the sign back to 'open'. Going back over to Zach, she shrugged and said "Sorry, we're going to have to wait about..." she checked her watch. "twenty minutes. I've been pushing it recently. Just randomly vanishing'd get me fired, then I'd be screwed."

"Hey, ill chill here until 7:00 and then we will go get it done."  Zach yawned loudly. "Damn I need a nap. Oh well, we dont want to be walking into that bank right at open anyway."  (((OOC - I am willing to jump forward to bank time)))

Mary nodded. "Try and get some sleep if you can. It'll probably get kinda noisy in here though. Hey, can I have a look at that thing's card?"

For some reason, having Zach even handle the card just made her feel uneasy.

(((So would Mary go straight to the bank from work?  Stop at home to change?  I gather that Zach is more or less tagging along with her wherever she goes?   FYI the bank lobby doesn't open until 8:00 AM, this would be something Mary would know as a resident of Brookvale.)))

((Thanks for the info on the bank. In that case, she'll probably wait a bit longer before leaving work. She'd then go home, get changed into something more presentable, then go to the bank, aiming to get there 10, 15 minutes or so after it's opened.))

(((Helmi, I didn't see your edited note about the meet with Zealot until just now.  No it won't screw anything up gamewise.  Don't expect to have him come back to Brookvale with you and help whoop ass though.     Also keep in mind, you know him but Zach doesn't and he doesn't know Zach.

I have question for Mary and Zach, are they currently armed?  If so with what.

Also I see I forgot to mention that the key is stamped with the number 22, sorry.)))

The First National Bank of Brookvale was one of the larger banks in the downtown area.  When Mary and Zach arrived at 8:15 it was moderately busy.  The security guard near the door eyed Zach and his long coat as they entered, making sure Zach noticed he was watching him.  There is a cluster of offices to the right of the entrance.  The row of tellers extends off to the left, the lobby is very loud but that has more to do with the marble and glass decorating scheme than how busy it is.

((OOC Note: Haha, I'm going to ask him for guns... not whoop ass... And yes I understand the meta... He isn't going to trust Zach for shit. Zach would have left his bags at Mary's place as long as she didn't mind.  He would still carry his holdout and a crowbar that's hidden under his coat.)))

Zach smiled a toothy little kid grin at the security guard and scratched the back of his head as he walked in and looked around the lobby like a child in a new store, secretly scanning for anything looking suspicious.

You're just a normal kid... Don't act crazy... You're going to be fine, Mary's going to be fine... Deep breaths.

Zach took a few deep breaths and another quick look around... "Hoooow long is this gonna take?" Zach whined in his most obnoxious adolescent voice, and put on an exacerbated look.

He shot a quick wink at Mary to assure her he was ready to get this thing done.

((Mary's got her .38 with her. By the way, would I know what the procedure for getting to the lockbox is? Because I have no clue OOC.))

Mary joined the line. "Sorry honey, it'll take as long as it'll take. You'll just have to wait."

The clerk looks at the key Mary offers and raises an eyebrow.  "I'm sorry, you're not on the list of people who are authorized to open this box."  He pauses, a slight frown appearing, "Unless you have some sort of other ID?"

Mary frowned. "There must have been some kind of mixup. My employer told me to inspect its contents. Here's his card, if it helps." She showed the clerk the card that Mr. Evil had given her.

The clerk glances down and the card at nods once.  "Right this way ma'am, your friend will have to wait here."  The clerk escorts Mary into the safety deposit box vault where you both insert a key into the box 22 vault door.  After unlocking the door he removes a mid size safety deposit box and hands it to Mary, it's not very heavy, maybe twelve pounds at most.  He then leads her to a private booth with a table.  "When you're ready to return the box to the vault let me know."  He turns on his heel and retreats from the room leaving her alone.

Zach, you're left in the lobby until Mary returns.

Indicating towards a row of chairs to one side, Mary told Zach "I'll need you to wait over there for a minute or two, OK honey?"

She then followed the clerk to the vault and retrieved the box.

"When you're ready to return the box to the vault let me know."

"Thank you."

She set the box down on the table and waited for him to leave. Once she was alone, Mary opened the box and looked through its contents.

Zach, the security guard from the door walks up to you and begins a conversation, "Do you go to Nate? (Reffering to Nathaniel Brookhurst High School)  Aren't you going to be missing first bell?"

Mary's eyes widened slightly as she saw the contents of the box. She'd been expecting the manila envelope and the note, but the wad of cash and the handgun were a definite bonus. She took the weapon from the box, also taking out the box of ammunition. Removing the clip, she was pleased to see it was already loaded. The clip was reinserted and she made sure the safety was on, then she took everything else out of the box as well. It all went into the canvas shoulder bag she found at the bottom. She then put the bag on, locked the box up again and went to get the attention of the clerk. "Excuse me, I've finished with the box. It can go back into the vault now."
