The Sox win.
Yeah, I'll be the resident bastard tonight. It was pretty nice, I'm been pretty annoyed with the team since before Francona left. They aren't back to what I loved or missed, but this'll do for now.

You missed one of the biggest beatdowns in Men's hockey for Sochi, nobody scored that much against the Americans in any other game and the Fins probably got 33% of all the goals scored against them.

Lost Girl via Netflix because Ksenia.
It's goofy and has fantasy elements, I'm a sucker for such things.

Leafs losing to the Jets 4-2, pretty much ending the chance of the Leafs reclaiming a playoff spot and making it another full season where we burn out in the end. And you know what? The Raptors made the playoffs. The Raptors. In the playoffs. I still can't believe the Raptors made it.

For the last few months my wife got us into watching the show Bones on Netflix, we're somewhere in the midst of season 6 and I still have mixed feelings about it. It's one of those psuedo science shows like CSI that makes a reasonable effort to be intelligent so when it does misstep it's painful to behold but for the most part I think I like it but... The main character is one of the least likeable characters I have ever seen ever. She's billed as "socially awkward" and they try to play her off as quirky and endearing but she's really just an emotionally stunted self-centered bitch. And that's me being nice about it. The rest of the characters are all reasonably likeable though her boss (who was introduced in the second season) has degenerated from being a strong, no-nonsense type to making goofy faces and non sequiturs like a lost cheerleader which makes her attempts to assert authority now come across as laughable. Which is a shame because even thought I didn't exactly like her character (the head of the institute in season 1 was better IMO) I could at least respect her. Not sure how or when it happened but she's now a clown. The show also falls victim to becoming one of the worst perpetrators of " magic computer syndrome" ever. But all that being said, if you like a show that showcases a grisly murder in every episode and doesn't pull punches for the squeamish then it's pretty good.

Montreal beating Boston in Game 7. Toronto & Montreal rivalry against Leafs & Bruins Game 7, Playoffs 2012-2013 season.
Had to root for the Canadian team in the end because what Canadian doesn't want the Cup to return to the North? Last time we had a chance and failed, there were riots.

"No Instructions Included"
This was a week back, but it was pretty nice actually. It's available on Netflix and I got around it through pure boredom-browse-close-your-eyes-and-select-a-movie.
Some of the story will be corny, but it compensates with a beautiful plot line.
Summary: Valentin is Acapulco's resident playboy - until a former fling leaves a baby on his doorstep and takes off without a trace. Valentin leaves Mexico for Los Angeles to find the baby's mother, but only ends up finding a new home for himself and his newfound daughter, Maggie. An unlikely father figure, Valentin raises Maggie for six years, while also establishing himself as one of Hollywood's top stuntmen to pay the bills, with Maggie acting as his on-set coach. As Valentin raises Maggie, she forces him to grow up too. But their unique and offbeat family is threatened when Maggie's birth mom shows up out of the blue, and Valentin realizes he's in danger of losing his daughter- and his best friend.

The Walking Dead marathon on AMC, wrapping up season 4 and will either be back in 8 hours for season 5 or 17, whichever I'm here for.
